Finalist Miss Canada 2021

Cristina Monica T
Hello,
Hi there, my name is Cristina Monica but friends call me Monica. I’m a 23-year-old student at McGill University. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. Right now, I’m working towards a Master’s in Information Studies… and my driver’s license! (I know, I know, but better late than never, right?) I’m also a book blogger in my spare time. I love to read. One of my goals in life is to read over 10 000 books before I die. You guessed it, I’m a proud geek.
I was born in Romania and came to Québec the summer I turned 8. I speak Romanian, French and English and I studied Spanish, German and Italian. I love to learn new languages. Another of my goals is to visit Spain and only use Spanish from start to finish. (I’ll carry a dictionary EVERYWHERE!) I like challenges. They make me feel alive and help me grow as a person.
Participating in this competition is also a challenge that I hope will allow me to develop my self-confidence further and meet new interesting people! I’m in it to learn, make beautiful memories and, of course, get that CROWN. *wink*

If you’d Elected: what you would realize
Why vote for me!
If I win Miss Canada, I will work to promote reading and writing to children and adults alike. These are important causes to me because they have brought me a lot throughout my life, and they are indispensable skills to have in our society. I’ve had a book blog for 7 years now and I am volunteering for Les Amis de BAnQ: I read books over the phone to participants of the program Un brin de lecture.
