Finalist Miss Teen Canada 2022
Nia B
Hello,
My passion: communication. It all started around the age of 11, when I was given the opportunity to become an ambassador for the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Canada. I went into this adventure head first by getting involved in press conferences for fundraisers for the hospital, by giving talks against bullying for young people, and by giving radio and television interviews. It was there that I understood that sharing a message of support, becoming the one who lends her voice to those who cannot, would be part of my study and career plan.
Why did I decide to participate in Miss Teen Canada? I want to get involved in a cause that is really close to my heart: suicide prevention. A dfficult subject, which unfortunately upsets and affects too many people. My goal is to provide support and help people get the help they need to get out of these difficult situations, which can have short-lived ends. Having been through this storm myself, I want to show and find resources so that those who live in these situations no longer feel alone. Don’t lose hope because all storms are temporary.
