Finalist Miss Canada 2022
Sarah C
Hello,
My name is Sarah! By day, I’m the Vice President of a manufacturing company. By night, I’m a community builder and art advocate.
I love meeting people and have a long-held passion for the arts (which I have a degree in!), and these 2 things just happen to go together perfectly. You may ask, what do art and community have in common? Well, they’re both great for you..!
Art impacts brain wave patterns and emotions, the nervous system, and can raise serotonin levels. Social connection can lower anxiety and depression, help us regulate our emotions, lead to higher self-esteem and empathy, and actually improve our immune systems. So, with their powers combined, I created the ultimate uplifting event!
I am the producer, graphic designer, promoter, and MC of a variety night. Multidisciplinary artists are showcased over the course of an evening, with event proceeds going towards a different charitable cause each time. The last sold-out event in Toronto featured 20 artists and raised over $2,000.
As MC, I am able to gush over amazing Canadian talent, promote awareness for chosen charities, and encourage people to connect with other attendees.
Covid has put a hold on in-person events, leaving many feeling more down than ever. This is a well-known issue, so instead of promoting it, I focus on providing free-to-access solutions. I love creating value for others via my interview format video/podcast series, which explores how people can use art and community to improve their quality of life. Through Miss Canada I hope to further my existing reach and use the abundant flow in my life to create yet more abundance for others.
