Finalist Miss Canada 2024
Geneviève M-S
Hello,
Hello everyone!
My name is Geneviève and I’m from Montreal!
As energetic, active and involved, I am the type of person who always wants to be a part of projects. Especially when it comes to volunteering: I find it more than important to get involved in my community, despite my busy Paramedic and military schedule.
When I was 15, I joined the army cadet program. Because of my perseverance and leadership, I was able to climb the ranks from Commander of the flag guard to Company Sergeant Major as Master Warrant Officer. This program has helped me to grow in ways that I would have never imagined. It has made me realize that I love being involved in my community and that it was essential. It was also at the end of my 4 years of service that I received the Royal Legion Cadet Excellence Medal. Among my many commitments to my community, I also had the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award: an award which requires a certain commitment to society by making positive impacts in the community which is awarded by the Lieutenant Governor of Canada.
I am a person who just cannot sit still!
Running since 2015, my shoes have only kept accumulating kilometers over the years: including the distances of Quebec-Montreal, Magog-Montreal and La Tuque-Montreal. Three relay races of around 200 km which allowed me to push my limits while improving my team spirit!
If I am elected Miss Canada 2024, I commit to continuing to support my community! I would like to reduce the taboo subject regarding the placement of women in predominantly male professions while promoting the organizations that are close to my heart! It would be an honor to represent the Miss Canada organization!
Looking forward,
Geneviève
If you’d Elected: what you would realize
Why vote for me!
As an involved woman who has demonstrated resilience, you should vote for me because I will encourage volunteering within my community. While revealing the importance of the delicate issues in our society! Earning your respect and your trust by showing you my presence and my involvement in these projects is my priority!
If I am elected Miss Canada 2024, I would like to raise awareness to the taboo subject of women in predominantly male professions such as Paramedics and in the military. I would also want to support several organizations that are close to my heart such as Opération Enfant Soleil and Héma-Québec, while continuing my involvement in my community mainly through the creation of fund raisers..last but foremost, I would like to bring greater visibility to Miss Canada: the organization emphasizes values common to mine, and I want to promote it as the first point above all!
