Hello,
My name is Alexis, I am 23 years old, and I proudly call York, Prince Edward Island home. I am deeply honoured to be a candidate for Miss Canada 2026. I am currently a second-year veterinary student at the Atlantic Veterinary College. Upon graduation from AVC, I aspire to be an equine surgeon and equine sports medicine doctor. I graduated with first-class standing from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology. I am proficient in both English and French, and earned my DELF B2 diploma upon graduating from high school. Alongside my studies in veterinary medicine, I am also studying equine and canine acupuncture! I was honoured to serve as a Gold Cup Ambassador in 2022, where I represented my charity of choice, the MS Society of Canada.
Horses have shaped who I am today and have taught me values that guide both my personal life and my future as a veterinarian. I began riding at just four years old and started competing at the age of ten. Today, I am grateful to own my two hunter jumper geldings, Darcy and Leo.
Outside of the barn, you can find me in the gym, as I am passionate about health and fitness, and believe in the importance of both physical and mental strength. I cherish time spent with my family, close friends, and my rescue pets—Peter, my Labrador retriever, and Stella, my cat. When I have time, I love baking sourdough bread.
As a Miss Canada candidate, I hope to represent not only my province, but also the dedication, compassion, and work ethic that come from pursuing your passions wholeheartedly—and, above all, staying true to yourself. See you in Montréal!

Why vote for me!
If I had the honour of being crowned the next Miss Canada, I would represent the title with elegance, passion, and humility. I would use my platform to empower young women to embrace their uniqueness and pursue their goals unapologetically. Through community involvement, mentorship, and advocacy, I would work to create a space where young girls feel confident, supported, and inspired to be true to themselves. My goal would be to leave a lasting impact—not just through the title I hold, but through the lives I touch and the confidence I help build in the next generation.
As a young woman, I strive every day to be someone that a younger version of myself would’ve looked up to. I aspire to be a role model for young girls who promotes staying true to yourself, your morals and values, while showing up as your best self in every aspect of life. I believe this is what truly sets you apart. If my journey can inspire even one girl to dream bigger, have confidence, and embrace who she is, then I know I’m making a difference. I believe that if your goals don’t scare you a little bit, then you need to dream bigger.

Miss Canada and Miss Teen Canada have been existing trademarks since 1946 and they are highly anticipated annually. These events advocate attitude and personality above all else. The candidates live a unforgettable and beautiful experience all in the spirit of camaraderie throughout the activities.
