Finalist Miss Canada 2026

Bahar Zendagi R
Hello,
Atifa Rezai (Bahar Zendagi) Biography: Is a leader and independent thinker whose work centers on expanding how we understand human potential, guided by the art of life. Her path reflects both structure and depth—a balance between science and the human story.
Bahar is the founder of A.I.R – Atifa Institute of Research and Philosophy for Rare Sleep Disorders, a registered startup non-profit organization in Canada dedicated to research, ethical reflection, and awareness surrounding rare sleep phenomena. The institute was created to encourage thoughtful examination of experiences that are often misunderstood and to explore the space between medical interpretation and human complexity. Grounded in lived experience and independent inquiry, her work emerged from personal encounters with these hidden struggles—where she came to see that knowledge itself needs healing. For her, understanding begins with reflection, dignity, and intellectual responsibility.
a
Having lived across diverse cultural environments, she has developed a grounded awareness of how varied human experiences shape identity, ambition, and self-perception. This perspective extends into her writing. As a writer, she works on philosophical fiction and narrative projects that explore leadership and the evolution of human consciousness. Her storytelling reflects her broader advocacy: that imagination, when guided by reflection, can illuminate real human questions. She believes that not everything meaningful is immediately visible or easily proven, and that understanding human difference requires depth and care.
a
Bahar also expresses her creativity through artistic practice. She has a poetic spirit and a deep interest in clothing as a form of art, identity, and cultural expression. Her appreciation for thoughtful fashion and natural, cruelty-free cosmetics reflects her belief that beauty and responsibility can exist together. Music remains another thread connecting her to her heritage, carried through Afghan folklore traditions and the timeless rhythm of the tambourine. Whether in research, philosophy, design, or writing, her path remains anchored in integration rather than separation—bringing together rigor and empathy, innovation and ethics, structure and creativity.
a
Bahar steps onto the Miss Canada stage because she believes that true beauty is expressed through responsibility, clarity of vision, and the courage to walk forward with openness—lifting others along the way. Her vision is to create spaces where research, philosophy, and expression meet—where individuals whose experiences have been overlooked can find recognition, dignity, deeper understanding, and new light. This same spirit guides her academic journey, which has led her to earn dual Bachelor’s degrees in Education and Literature, and to continue her studies in Mining Engineering, weaving together intellect, creativity, and purpose. Her reflections and storytelling are rooted in the depth of literature, shaping how she perceives and conveys human experience. The care, insight, and thoughtful examination she brings to her work arise from the understanding nurtured through education. And in Canada, her studies in Mining Engineering continue to unfold with the same discipline and focus, completing the quiet balance through which her ideas, work, and voice take form.
