Chloé H
Hello,
Hello, my name is Chloé.
I am a fifteen-year-old student-athlete from the small town of LaSalle. As a proud franco ontarienne with dual citizenship a canadien and a French one, I attend a French high school, where I have been a player of the senior basketball team since my freshman year. In addition to this, I also play for a travel basketball team for the U-16 Saint Clair junior saints. Over the past two years, I have earned honors recognition for my academic achievements. As to being a student athlete I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, trying other new sports, traveling and learning new cultures.
I am deeply passionate about addressing social injustice, particularly the discrimination women have faced for generations. As a female athlete, I personally understand the feeling of not being fully appreciated for my talents and abilities, something that countless women have experienced. Too often, women’s sports are dismissed as less exciting or worthy of attention, denying athletes the recognition they deserve. I find this extremely unfair because women can be some of the best athletes and dont get appreciated for it just because they are female.
Sadly, women in sports arent the only ones facing discrimination. Women all over the world get critised and put down for whatever their job is and get told that a man can do it better. This is diminishing a lot of the female population’s confidence and taking away their opportunities because they aren’t rewarded equally.
My mission is to raise awareness about the injustice us women are facing and inspire younger girls to reach their full potential, while also celebrating their unique talents. I strongly believe that everyone, regardless of gender, should have the right to pursue their dreams—big or small—without facing discrimination or the pressure of judgment.
To make a real impact, I plan to volunteer at camps and sports clubs, helping to empower the next generation of female leaders. Through these efforts, I hope to contribute to a movement that will create lasting change for women in sports and beyond.
