Finalist Miss Canada 2026

Deepika Shenoy K
Hello,
Hello, everyone…
I am Deepika Shenoy Kanthavar. I came to Canada with my husband and son. I graduated with a Master’s in Leadership, specializing in healthcare, from Trinity Western University Global in British Columbia, Canada.
My hometown is a picturesque place in southern India. I was born into a doctor’s family that owns a hospital and a clinic. I am passionate about serving the sick, underprivileged, and the poor. Together with my family, I have been involved in providing free treatments and health camps for villagers.
I hold a Certificate of Excellence in Triple BA in Psychology, Journalism, and English Literature. As a Gold Medallist in the MBA, specializing in Marketing and Finance, and a first-rank holder at the University, I decided to deepen my understanding of the nuances of India’s politics, economy, culture, and geography by preparing for a career in the Indian bureaucracy. Out of a passion for teaching, I wrote the National Eligibility Exam and qualified as an Assistant Professor, starting my tenure at Lourdes Paramedical Institute. I have taught over 500 students in various healthcare management subjects. I implemented creative visualization, mindfulness, and concentration techniques to improve students’ performance. I saw sparks in my students’ eyes, and I strongly believe I have become a source of motivation for them to achieve greater heights through passion, determination, and hard work.
Since childhood, I have been passionate about the arts, particularly singing, dancing, and drama, and interested in choreography, painting, photography, and sports. I have won awards for outstanding performance in Bharatanatyam, Classical Music, and Creative Writing. I received the Best Manager Inter-Collegiate Award during my MBA.
Participating in the Miss Canada event is truly a dream come true, and I thank God for this opportunity. By God’s grace, if I succeed in this mega event and become Miss Canada 2026, I wish to fulfil my vision of doing charity work for the elderly and malnourished children, and of empowering women, particularly mothers who lack resources to stay healthy in all spheres. Health not only means physical well-being but also emotional and psychological well-being, as well as environmental and social health. My long-term goal is to earn a PhD and study the Canadian healthcare system in depth to improve the quality of healthcare services and delivery. I feel deeply about this cause, shaped by personal experiences, and would strive to make my mark on it with the help and mercy of the Almighty.
This event is not just a contest for me. I strongly believe this is a major turning point in my life, strengthening me emotionally, physically, financially, and spiritually, paving the way for me to contribute meaningfully to my society.
“But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.” ~Robert Frost
A reminder that the journey is long, as I continue on my path with meaning, purpose and commitment.
Thank you.
