Finalist Miss Canada 2021
Immaculée N
Hello,
My name is Immaculée, I was born after the civil war in Burundi and my family was incredibly fortunate to immigrate to Canada. I have been living for the past 11 years on the South Shore of Montreal, in the beautiful city of Chateauguay. I am an extremely friendly woman who is always ready to take on challenges. I love to sing and encourage the women around me to increase their self-esteem. I have a very great concern for others so I make people around me feel loved and supported in all circumstances. I am a student at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit in DEC-BAC in marketing management.
I have been a choir director for 7 years now at Prince-De-La-Paix Church in Brossard. I help young people to find their hidden talent whether it is singing, diction or dancing. My sense of entrepreneurship pushes young people to discover and exploit their full potential. I had the chance to immigrate to Canada and my first goal in life is to help others as Canada has helped me to have better living conditions. I dedicate my weekends to helping the homeless, teen mothers and new immigrants. In helping them, I have learned that it is much more rewarding to give than to receive.
The motto that describes me well is: “Become the change you would like to see in the world.” – Gandhi. This quote represents me perfectly because I want to bring a dose of love, kindness and joy into this world. I have noticed that the only way to change society is to change our own person first. I have noticed a change in my person during my years of leadership as a choir director and helping the homeless. These years of volunteering developed my compassion, solidarity and perseverance. Through the homeless, I learned that real happiness is found in small daily victories.
Becoming Miss Canada is the perfect opportunity to be an inspiration to all people living in special situations. I want to show them that anything is possible in life! Just persevere and believe in our potential and the key to success is in our hands.

If you’d Elected: what you would realize
Why vote for me!
For me, winning the Miss Canada title is much more than a title, it will be a victory for me and all the people I help on a daily basis. It’s a collective victory because I believe in them as much as they believe in me. By voting for me, thanks to my involvement in society, it gives me the incredible opportunity to touch more hearts, feed more mouths and give more smiles. I am excited to be part of this wonderful adventure and to show young people that perseverance and self-confidence are the keys to success.
If I had the privilege of being elected Miss Canada 2021, I would accomplish so many wonderful things. First of all, I would like to support people with low incomes. I want to help them by getting involved in food banks. I also want to help the homeless even more by getting involved in charities. I will also be present on different platforms to show my support to people who have a lack of self-confidence. I want to pass on to them my experience and my tips that have built my esteem and the strong personality I have become. I want to share my story with them to show them that it is important to discover one’s self worth in order to accomplish beautiful things in life.
