Finalist Miss Canada 2019
Marie-Eve P-K
Hello,
Hello everyone, my name is Marie-Eve. I am from Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, in Quebec. I’m currently studying in the Communication program, but I want to enter McGill university in the law department. The profession of lawyer has always been the field that fascinates me the most, because it is a way for me to help other. I would like, among other things, to specialize with youth and criminality.
With my thousand and one ideas, I would like to accomplish so many projects to help those in need. However, it is necessary to start one step at a time and that is what drives me to devote myself since the age of 15 to a cause that is close to my heart: woman.
During my studies in Grade 11, as part of my Personal Orientation Project, I created a humanist / feminist group with the help of a wonderful special education technician. I want women to support each other, to value each other and to help each other. Today, I am a pioneer of the solidarity group Les Olympes de Gouges, named in honor of the pioneer Olympe de Gouges.
Before my studies in Communication, I studied in the program of Technique d’intervention en délinquance. I have a passion for the functioning of the human brain. I have supported young people living with various problems. In particular, with the help of an internship with children from the DPJ (Youth Protection Branch), by giving conference to prevent and break the wall of silence that encircles domestic violence and also promote awareness about hypersexualization. I am the big sister of two lovely twins who I have learned from a very young age, the right way to treat and respect all the women around them. Today, 14 years old later, I can say that they are without a doubt big men with hearts on their hands and are role models for young people.
I would love to be a figure for women and a source of inspiration for them. I am convinced that there is still some way to go and I would like to support a number of causes close to my heart, such as animal shelters and orphanages. The values that best describe me are those of the family, my dedication, openness to new cultures, mutual support and sincerity.
My motto is without a doubt:
“Darkness can not chase darkness, only light can. Hate can not drive hate, only love can. ” (Martin Luther King).

If you’d Elected: what you would realize
Why vote for me!
If I won Miss Canada, I would like too …
Being a spokesperson for the feminist, putting forward the value of the woman. For me winning Miss Canada, it is the opportunity to highlight young women, to show that they are strong and independent. I would like to take part in more conferences and awarenessraising events across Canada and perhaps even further. I would like to become a real role model for the women who surround me and defend better women’s conditions around the
world.
Why vote for me?
By crowning me Miss Canada this year, it is not only for Marie-Eve that you vote, but for all the women of this world. I am doing this competition not only to represent women in Canada, but also for those who are elsewhere and have such a great place in my heart. For me, Miss Canada is more than just a beauty or personality contest, it’s a way to put my ideas and values to good use and make a real difference for our society.
