Finalist Miss Canada 2026

Marie-Zoé L
Hello,
At 26, Marie Zoé is an accomplished young woman driven by a passion for education, science, dance, and horseback riding. Whether she’s wearing high heels or cowboy boots, she’s never afraid to get her hands dirty and take action.
Based in Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Marie Zoé is a master’s student in Veterinary Sciences. She is well known in her community for her commitment to making science more accessible and for championing the recognition and empowerment of women in STEM.
She hosts the Balado Hors Labo podcast and serves as Co-President of Science and Policy Exchange, a non-profit organization that encourages university students to engage in amplifying the impact of science at the political and community levels.
Marie Zoé is dedicated to building bridges between science and society by highlighting the real-world impact of research and dismantling stereotypes about scientists. She speaks out to prove that women can be just as brilliant as they are elegant.
She can be found on social media, in personality competitions as both a volunteer and judge, and at scientific conferences as an organizer and speaker.
Her academic journey and contributions beyond the lab have earned her a Veterinary Faculty Excellence Scholarship and a nomination for Force Avenir Personality 2026. She also placed third at the 7th Annual Canadian Summit of Young Veterinary Researchers, representing the University of Montreal.
Her greatest honour is being nominated and selected by the Office of the Chief Science Advisor of Canada as a speaker for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science symposium.

If you’d Elected: what you would realize
Why vote for me!
As Miss Canada, she will proudly uphold the organization’s values by breaking down the barriers imposed on women.
Why vote for me? What would be your accomplishments as Miss Canada 2026?
As a 6’1” woman, I was taught to make myself smaller. At 26 years old, I created the Balado Hors Labo podcast, where women in STEM can have their voice heard nationally. I inspire young women to take their place fearlessly by encouraging inclusion and authenticity.
I will proudly represent the Miss Canada organization at a wide range of public events across academic, political, and community spaces. This collaboration will highlight women in the research field, while also emphasizing the importance of engagement outside the lab for impactful science
