Hello,
My name is Maura. I recently graduated from Western University with a degree in Psychology. Since finishing school, I have spent a lot of my time volunteering at a retirement home in my community. My experiences there deepened my passion for supporting people in my community, especially when it comes to promoting the importance of mental health and advocating for the more vulnerable members of our society.

Entering this pageant is so far outside of my comfort zone and something I never imagined myself doing. However, I have been reflecting on the women in my family who are currently living through war in Iran. Their strength, resilience, and grace inspire me not to take my opportunities for granted and to pursue my dream of becoming a therapist so I can support others through life’s challenges.

To me, being Miss Canada means using this platform to inspire confidence, promote kindness, and empower young women to pursue their dreams with courage.
