Hello,
Neelam is 19 years old and resides in Edmonton, Alberta. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education at the University of Alberta. Neelam is excited to be part of Miss Canada 2019. She looks forward to connecting with other like-minded women across Canada.
As a budding English teacher, Neelam is very excited to have the opportunity to volunteer and teach in Mexico this spring. She hopes to expand her knowledge on international education and prepare for a career abroad as an English & ESL teacher. Neelam is an ambitious, passionate, and dedicated young woman. As a private tutor, her goal is to promote early childhood literacy by helping students build strong foundations in their reading and writing. When she is not tutoring, she enjoys working out, learning languages, and traveling to her second home– The Netherlands.

What would be my accomplishments as a prize winner?
As Miss. Canada 2019, I would perform my duties with grace and integrity. With this amazing opportunity, I would like to travel across Canada and promote the importance of literacy. As a future educator, I work towards fostering a learning environment which not only advocates lifelong learning, but also encourages students to take an active approach to their education.
I intend to work alongside organizations, such as AIESEC, to help youth across Canada build lasting relationships with the global community. In addition, I hope to help maintain and support the beautiful relationships Canada has with communities around the world.

I am a kind, compassionate, and dedicated young woman. I want to make positive contributions in my community and abroad. Through my passion for teaching, I actively work towards helping others achieve their academic and personal goals. As an avid traveller, I want to build bridges with communities abroad and advocate the importance of becoming a lifelong learner.
I seek to leave a legacy, one in which inspires people at home and overseas to become the best versions of themselves. By voting for me, you are supporting my endeavours to make a difference in the world.
