Finalist Miss Canada 2023

Hello,

I am Roxanne, I am 30 years old and I come from Lévis. I am a creative and ambitious person. I have a 4-year-old boy and I returned to full-time studies almost 2 years ago with the goal of pursuing a career in medicine or pharmacy. In my twenties, I held various jobs, ranging from Santa’s elf to pharmacy technician. I also worked in the field of pediatric hematology-oncology and geriatrics. I would say that I am an empathetic and generous person who loves to help others.

For many years, I have volunteered with several local charities, including as a tutor for high school students and soon as an intervenor for the Red Cross. I also volunteer for various foundations at events. These experiences have taught me the importance of solidarity,kindness, and empathy. I hope to continue to support these causes that make a real difference in people’s lives.

Participating in this contest is an opportunity for me to support another cause that is particularly important to me, the prevention of prostitution. My work brings me into contact with various types of clients, including sex workers. I want to take advantage of this opportunity to give a voice to those who are often forgotten by our society.

Outside of this, I love science, literature, and art. I enjoy learning, studying, and writing. I have contributed to two collections that will soon be published and I write for the student newspaper.

However, what I love above all is teaching my son to be curious and interested in the world around him.
