Finalist Miss Teen Canada 2020

Hello,

My name is Samantha. I’m 18 years old and in my first year at York University. I’m majoring in French and minoring in Drama. I love the French language and would like to travel to France at some point and soak in the culture and ambience. I hope to teach core French and drama in the elementary grades once I’ve graduated teacher’s college. My future career as a teacher was sealed when I had worked as a co-op student in an elementary school for one semester to teach children French and homeroom subjects and absolutely loved the experience.

I’m bubbly, caring and full of joie de vivre. I love the fine arts and entertaining people through venues like musicals, plays and dance. I’ve acted in plays and musicals since I was 8 years old and have been part of a Kpop cover dance group called Scarlet Prism since Grade 10.

I love playing sports and have been avid fast softball player for the past 10 years. My favourite positions are Pitcher, 1^st and 3^rd base. I also love to swim so much that my mom calls me a fish in water.  For the past 3 years, I’ve been of teaching children to swim as a swim instructor and continue to enjoy watching them learn and grow.

As a former Girl Guide of 10 years, I’ve learned to appreciate helping others and love volunteering my time at the community food bank , animal shelters and helping the environment.  I’m a huge animal lover and a mom to a 14 month old Syrian hamster named Hoshi.
