Finalist Miss Teen Canada 2021
Sophia Lia
Hello,
My name is Sophia Lia and I am a 16 year old teen from Alberta. I am just finishing my junior year of high school as a French immersion student. I am a journalist, editor in chief, wellness influencer and an avid mental health advocate. I am super passionate about the cause and helping people grow and nourish through sharing their stories and learning about mental health. Last summer, I debuted my own magazine titled “Sophia Lia Mag”. The magazine is all about wellness, self-care, self-love and gaining confidence. I always dreamt of offering a platform where teens (and anyone else) can share their stories and talk about what they’ve been through- and this magazine has allowed me to do exactly that. Teens are welcome to submit to share their mental health stories and talk about what they’ve been through, how they overcame it and to offer advice to others dealing with similar things. With 3 issues out, I’ve been incredibly blessed to make an impact and help people around the world.
When I am not working on the magazine, I enjoy spending time with my friends, journaling for other teen magazines, modelling as well as cooking! I really enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and being a positive role model to young girls. I use my platform on Instagram as well to promote body-positivity, self-love and confidence!
My goal is to inspire others, educate people on current world problems and help girls gain that inner confidence and self-love. If I earned the honourable title of Miss Teen Canada, I would use it to continue promoting my wellness platform, attend events (once it’s safe to do so!) as well as motivate other young girls to chase their dreams and work hard for what matters most to them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me and my platform!
Best wishes,
Sophia Lia
