Finalist Miss Canada 2022

Sydney B
Hello,
My name is Sydney.
I live in Chilliwack, BC. I am a recent graduate from my bachelors degree in kinesiology at 21 years old, allowing me to work as a registered kinesiologist while waiting for my acceptance into a masters program for physical therapy.
Overall, my future career goal is to be a physiotherapist and to specialize in sports and concussions.
As such, my platform is centered around concussion awareness. I am working alongside Concussion Legacy Foundation Canada in developing a Chapters program for BC where we spread concussion awareness through presentations with university and high school sports teams.
This is a very important topic for me because of what a friend of mine has endured after having several concussions, as well as having witnessed initial concussion symptoms and the rehabilitation process through working as a trainer with a junior football team.
I want to be able to reach as many people as possible with my platform to provide education about a very serious injury that affects so many people, especially athletes.
