Finalist Miss Canada 2021
Veronica D
Hello,
Hello and Welcome to my Pageant journey! My name is Veronica Deen hailing from the beautifully historic Kingston Ontario . I live a life embracing the values of kindness , femininity and thoughtfulness . I am also a strong willed 1950s babe with a drive for success but that doesn’t undercut my warmness .I hope to bring Pageantry to my city and spread awareness about mental health struggles. I believe our world should take a moment and be kinder to one another , small everyday things that make a difference. I really enjoy charity work in my community , I have volunteered for carnivals , food bank Christmas projects ,I have worked with a number of charity’s during my high school and college days ( sports events , tulip holocaust survivor project , car wash ) , lately during Covid I am working closely with my local food bank to bring essentials to families that maybe can’t during these trying times . I am motivated to see a change in our world , many changes starting with how we handle our mental health . there is still a large stigma around the severity of mental illness and how it effects each and everyone of us differently. I take pride in how I have built my life for my future , I excel in many areas of life with a wide range of skills and hobbies including to name a few : horseback riding , cooking , cleaning , baking , candle making , canning sewing , gardening , burlesque dancing , tire changing , modelling ,painting , nature walks , marijuana advocacy, laying bare foot by the pool and most importantly my favourite pass time would be reading a good book in a big bubble bath . If I were to win the title of Miss Canada I’d use my advantage in the media to bring a light to local issues in my town and across the provinces, a leading concern in Kingston is our Homelessness numbers , I’d like to be a voice for those that can’t have theirs heard . I’m looking forward to gaining so many wonderful experiences and meeting even more miraculous people through my pageant journey I’m very blessed
